Stare At The Camera

My two girls looked very cute in their matching denim on Thursday. Amelia seemed mesmorized by the camera lens as I snapped their photos.

Easter Dress Up

We had a pretty low key Easter weekend. We joined Treasure's family for a casual potluck lunch. But Amelia decided today she really wanted a bow in her hair since it is a tradional occasion for looking cute in your new clothes. She looked adorable for almost an hour before the bow fell off. Corn syrup has limited adhesive properties.

Highly Entertaining Toy

Amelia really took a liking to this ball tonight. She was content to play with it for almost an hour before she decided maybe there were other things she could be doing with her time.

Tummy Time

Amelia has a strong neck and legs. She is starting to figure out her arms. But until she does I think she is not going to enjoy tummy time so much. She did pretty well this morning. But she tends to give us looks as to say "hello, you put me down wrong... anyone, there? a little help here."

Big Laugh

"Mom always does stuff to crack me up. She can make me laugh like nobody else. I get especially silly when they put me on this changing table." -Amelia

Silly Millie

Amelia is definitely feeling better. That cold seems a distant memory except for her lingering cough. The doctor said that it could hang around for up to 4 weeks. Oh well. She doesn't seem to mind so much.

Farewell To Pigs

This is probably the last time Amelia will wear her pigs sleeper. When we put her in it last night we could barely get all the snaps closed. She just keeps growing like a weed. I think we may have to upgrade to a bigger car seat sooner than we had anticipated.

Smile of Improvement

A few naps and more medicine has done wonders for our baby girl. She stills has a bad sounding cough. But she showed us that she is feeling better with one of her wonderful smiles.

Still Sick

Amelia woke up this morning with crust in her eyes... But she slept through the night on her own. We woke up hearing the occasional cough, but no crying. She is doing better but still a little unsure if she is ready to be a happy baby again.

Sad Eyes

Amelia's cold has taken a turn for the worse. We went to the doctor and found out her cold had spread to her ears, a double inner ear infection. Yikes. We got her started on some antibiotics. The doctor says she should shows signs of improvement by tonight.

First Cold

Unfortunately, Amelia is discovering how not fun it is to be sick. She is doing fairly well overall. But she gets really sad after she has a coughing fit. I'm hoping that she will continue to sleep more today and get through the worst of it. It is heartbreaking to see her in pain.

Multi-Colored Musings

I'm not sure who is more easily entertained. It is kind of amazing how great it feels when when your daughter smiles at your antics. Sometimes all you need is a plush toy bug with a rattle in it to make the highlight of your day.

Waiting Around

One thing about having a digital camera is you can easily end up with a ton of photos quickly. Here's a few that I snapped this morning while Amelia and I were hanging out before she left for daycare.

Things to Look At

Today starts Amelia's second week of daycare. The ladies that take care of the non-mobile group of babies seem pretty great. They have lots of stations, toys and hanging down things to look at and play with. We have a some as well. We've noticed Amelia get particularlly excited staring at "the green one."

My Great Grandma

Amelia was excited to see her great grandmother. She showed her how she could be a good little girl but she also demonstrated that she has a strong set of lungs.

Milk Drunk

Amelia tends to be a little spacey after she gets finished nursing. Sometimes she just passes out. Other times she turns into a drowsy bobble-head doll. It doesn't last long, but it is pretty amusing for us.

Morning Giggles

We are able to get Amelia to smile and laugh with much more frequency now. It is so much fun to make her laugh.

Puppy Hat

This is my favorite hat we have for Amelia. People get a kick out of seeing her puppy ears sticking up above the rim of her Baby Bjorn when we go walking around the neighborhood. Our little puppy really likes going outside, but she usually falls asleep shortly after we start walking.
