Dancing With Mom

Amelia likes to entertain us. She and her mom worked on her dance moves this afternoon. She seems healthy and happy this weekend. We only have a few more days of medicine to give her to make sure that ear infection goes away. She doesn't care much for it, but is starting to put up less of a fuss when we give it to her.

Feeding Myself

Amelia was diagnosed with another ear infection today. She was very restless last night and very fussy this morning. We could tell she wasn't quite right. Luckily we were able to get in to see the doctor this afternoon. She did manage to learn a new trick despite her rundown condition.

Stares and Kisses

We spent the weekend recovering from another round of illness. Kelly and Amelia came down with the latest circulating bug on Thursday. They were both feeling a little better on Friday. By Saturday I was feeling the effects of the virus. By Sunday we were all feeling much much better and ready to take some new pictures. Amelia has really started to stare people down lately. It is kinda funny. She always enjoys getting kisses from her mom.

Spit Up

Life isn't all glamour shots and new tricks. More often it's wiping bottoms, cleaning faces and figuring out where we left that binky when the fussing starts. But that's what makes it great. Amelia seems to get more personality everyday. It is fun watching her grow.

I'm Ready For My Close-Up

"I told you yesterday that I didn't like being on my tummy. Well, nevermind mind that. This isn't so bad. I can look just as cute on my belly as on my back... But I'm still not doing that rolling over thing again. Forget about it."

Amelia Rolls Over

"Sorry dad, you missed it. No, I'm not going to do it again for the camera now that you put me back on my tummy. That's the whole point, I didn't want to be on my tummy. Don't you get it? It's a good thing mom was here to see what happened or no one would believe me. Jeeez. Now flip me back over before I get really upset."

Who Is That Baby In The Mirror?

Amelia thinks it is fun to see herself in the mirror. She gets a good laugh as we bring her closer and closer to her reflection. It makes us smile too.

Playtime

Amelia played hostess to a group of other babies and moms today at our house. Several of Kelly's friends that are also working moms have babies very close in age. They organized a once a month playdate. Today was our month to host the party. It was neat to see all the other kiddos. Amelia discovered that the exersaucer is a pretty fun thing to spend time in. John discovered this might be a great time to go see a movie.
