Cousin Magnus

cousin_magnus.jpg

Cousin Magnus had a good time in Portland riding the train to the zoo and swinging at the playground in his brand new hat and boots. We had lots of fun together during his 10 day visit. It was great to spend so much time with him.

Uncle Stephen

Amelia gave her Uncle Stephen a few smiles before turning in for the night.

Aunt Michelle

"Look Aunt Michelle, I can fit this whole rattle into my mouth... really" Amelia is teething (as if she needed an excuse for putting everything she can grab ahold of into her mouth).

Magnus & Amelia - take 2

mag_millie2.jpg

Magnus decided if this posed setup was good for a photo session this morning it must be good for another one this afternoon (and the next day and the next day). "Take picture peas." It was so much fun having him around for several days. Amelia was very interested in every antic her cousin came up with.

Late Morning Laughs

laughing.jpg

Kelly and Amelia enjoyed cracking each other up this morning. Kelly spent her first night away from home since Amelia was born due to a business trip yesterday. Luckily, she was able to get back last night, sleep in (or at least not get up at her regular dreadfully early hour) this morning and hang out with us for a little bit. Amelia was obviously excited to see her mom this morning.

Amelia Rolls Over Again

rollover.jpg

This time she waited til both of us were watching to do her trick. We need to remember to give her more tummy time consistently so she can get better at it. With Amelia being sick and more fussy for the past month, I suppose we didn't want to purposely bring on more fussing by placing her on her stomach. But the only way to get better is with practice... I wonder where I put those earplugs.

Exersaucer

saucer1.jpg

Amelia is really starting to enjoy her exersaucer. It is neat to see her discover all the things to play with and watch her contently spin, grab, and put each one in her mouth.

New Stroller

stroller_nap.jpg

Amelia recently got a new mode of transportation (and nap inducer). We did quite a bit of research and pondering before we purchased our all-terrain stroller. We settled on the B.O.B. Revolution. It is like a typical jogging stroller except it has a swivelling front wheel that makes it so much easier to manuever. We are all loving it.

Mom's New Hat

hat2.jpg

Amelia has held onto congestion and a cough for several weeks now. She's not been quite as bright and happy as what we'd gotten used to. So we've been trying on some new ways of staving off the fussy episodes. Fortunately, I think she is starting to turn the corner. Yesterday she almost made it through the night without one of us jumping outta bed to plug in her pacifier.

Sitting Around

It was a beautiful evening so Amelia and I decided we would wait outside on the front steps for mom to get home. Amelia seems to enjoy the outdoors. She tends to fuss less with fresh air in her lungs.
