Now What?
Amelia is now sitting on her own very well. She still tumbles backwards when she get really excited or her focus waivers too much. It is awesome watching her learning to balance herself upright. Now she is also working on grabbing the toys around her without tipping over... advanced variations on that sitting trick.

Sitting Practice
"Look Dad, I'm sitting on my own. Look, look...Oh wait, I fell over. It's a good thing mom put this nice pillow around me to cushion my fall. She's so smart... Can you help me back up please?"

Amelia Meets Socko
Amelia received a very special gift recently from the Sheilds. Socko is a charming sockmonkey that Holly hand made. Amelia was very excited to meet Socko. However, she was a little disappointed to discover Socko's arm would not quite fit inside of her mouth.

High Chair
Amelia is begining to figure out how to sit on her own. She has been eating "real" food like rice cereal mixed with carrots or bannanas for almost two weeks now. So today we decided it was time to test out her fancy clip-on high chair. She seems to tolerate it as long as there is food or something to play with in front of her. It is handy to be able to plop her down at the kitchen bar next to us when it's supper time.
