Grandparents are Great

"I love my grandparents. They like to watch me put toys in my mouth and make me laugh with funny faces. They are the best. I even got to play hookie from daycare and hang out with them all day, everyday, all week!"

Granny B

"It has been awesome having Granny B around this week. She is so great. I wish she could move to Portland and play with me all the time."

Morning Peaches

Amelia is a good eater. She likes her food a lot and gets upset when there is no more left to eat. It took her a few weeks to figure out how a spoon works. But now she's got it down. She opens her mouth just like a little baby bird when she is ready for the next bite.

Amelia had some good playtime on her mats this weekend.

Time To Get Clean

Bath night is every other night. Amelia doesn't usually get so dirty from one day's worth of activities since she is not yet crawling around. She is starting to figure out how fun taking a bath can be. You can can probably tell we were all a little inspired by the Independent Film Channel's week of Punk Rock themed programing.

I Want That Camera Momma

Amelia was all smiles tonight while Kelly had the camera out. But instead of posing for her close-up, she decided that she'd rather try to get the lens into her mouth. Dad did not approve and quickly ended the evening photo session.

What's Up

Amelia really enjoyed playing "What's On My Head?" today. It was the highlight of our morning.

4th of July Party

We went to our friends Mary Jane & Jim's house for the 2nd annual 4th of July bash. One of the requirments for attending the party this year was if you had a child, you must make a float and participate in the neighborhood parade. Amelia wanted to be a Hawaiian princess. So we got some tiki lights, paper pineapples, a plastic palm tree and some grass skirt fringe to pimp out the stroller. It was a hit. Everyone had a good time. But he had to leave early because Amelia decided it was way too exciting to go to sleep at her regular time. We wanted to avoid a late night meltdown. Instead we got lots of little sleepless fits throughout the night...Oh well. It was a fun day.

Playtime with Mom

Yesterday was a nice change of pace. We spent most of the day just hanging out at home playing. We were not running errands nor working. Often one of us is compelled to "get something done." (work or otherwise). Amelia thought it was great fun to have all of her toys spread out around her on the big vinyl mats.
