Big Hat

Amelia got very animated when she put daddy's hat on her head. Her hand gestures became more animated and her facial expressions more intense. It's like she turned into a rap star for a few seconds... MC Powdered Milk.

Almost Crawling

Amelia is trying to figure out how to crawl. Right now it is often looks like she is going to do it and then she decides to roll over instead. She really likes to roll. Getting her arms and legs to act together in a forward motion is much tougher than just flopping to one side. But she does strike a cute pose.

Sunday Morning Reading

Amelia and I decided to read something other than the Sunday newspaper this morning.

Hello, Is There Something You Needed Dad?

...Because I'm actually having a lot of fun playing here with my toys this morning... By myself. I'm feeling really great since I got a good night of sleep last night. 7 to 7. Nice, huh? Okay, thanks so much for taking my picture (again). But that's enough. See ya later. Bye-bye.

Mom's Office

We visit Mom's office on Mondays and Fridays at lunchtime since she is still breast feeding for some of her meals. Amelia is often shy around the other people at the studio when we first arrive. She's getting a little more comfortable now that we are going regularly. But she is always excited to see Mom.

How Does This Thing Work?

Amelia wanted to try feeding herself this morning. It seems so easy when mom does it, right? She was sucessful at making a mess. But getting food into her mouth, not so much.

Yogurt

We are still trying new foods. Today was another try at yogurt. That plain stuff we tried the first time didn't go over so well. But the blueberry flavor we had this morning... yum. Now that's good stuff.

My First Tooth

If you squint real hard you might be able to see Amelia's first baby tooth poking it's way through on her bottom gums... Not really. But it is there. We can feel it sticking up. She's got a runny nose to prove it (apparently, this is symptomatic of teething process). How exciting. She's done pretty well with her teething so far. Only a few shrill screams in the wee hours of the morning. But overall, she is sleeping really really well. Most nights she gets a good 11 hours of slumber. We are very happy about that.

My What Big Feet You Have

Daddy got a brand new super-wide lens for his camera today. When he took this picture of me from really close it made my feet look enormous. It is really cool. It does more than just make feet look big. I'm sure there will be more wide angle photos showing up soon. Stay tuned.
