Trick Or Treat

We had a lot of fun parading our daughter around in her silly chicken costume. I think she had fun too. First we went down to Kelly's Halloween office party. Then later Fletcher came over to help hand out candy and show Amelia she was not the only kid forced into a funny fluffy outfit. We feasted on Treasure's traditional mac-n-cheese and a wide variety of candy. Not many trick-or-treaters this year. I think the sloppy weather kept a lot of kids at home. Amelia got scared when people came to the door. So maybe it was for the best that we had a small turnout.

Killing Time

Amelia found it hard waiting for Halloween to officially get started today. We spent time crawling on the floor, using the jumper as a swing and running errands at our favorite store, Target. Finally around 3:30 it was time to get dressed and begin the masquerade.

Jump Around

Amelia is figuring out how to make the most of her jumper. Sometimes she likes to kick her feet together like a little ballet dancer. Other times she gets her inspiration from Moby.

Busy Bee

This weekend Grandma Linda brought over an exciting new toy that lights up, spins around and makes all kinds of racket. It was an instant hit. In a related note, toy manufacturers are being encouraged to start labeling the Parental Annoyance Factor on the packaging of all noise making toys on a scale of 1-10. Some toy makers have stated they will offer additional graphs illustrating how the annoyance factor increases over the life of the toy based on a child's usage.

Milk Belly

Some people say that Amelia looks a lot like me. It wasn't until I took this photo that I realized how much we really have in common. But I can't blame drinking too much milk for my oversized belly.

Bathtime Photo Session

I got a little camera happy this evening around bathtime. There were too many cute photos of Amelia to choose from, so I had to post several. Amelia was wired tonight and wanted to keep playing and playing.

Mom joined us at the end of the day for a few laughs down at the park.

Brown Hat

The parade of fashion continues. Today we are debuting a georgeous brown floral outfit. It includes a knee length dress with pink roses on a soft-as-felt field of dark brown, long sleeve pink onesie, brown leggings, a matching solid brown corduroy jacket with spot floral embroidery, and finally a wonderful brown hat to complete the look.

Fashion Baby

The weather has changed. It feels like Fall. Amelia could not wait any longer to show off the lovely pink poncho that Tami made for her. She got so many compliments from her fans and the baby-adoring public we encountered as we strolled through downtown this afternoon. She could barely keep her stylish matching hat on.

Peekaboo

Kelly brought home a nice, large, colorful shopping bag that made for a great peekaboo session.

Backwards Crawl

Amelia's scooting backwards is starting to look more like a crawl in reverse. She especially likes to get on the hardwoods where her she has less friction and can slide easier. We are thinking of wraping her belly with Swiffer wipes so she can clean the floors as she makes her way around the living room.
