Silver Surfer and Me

My surfer, my surfer, wherever I go, he goes. My surfer, my surfer, I'll teach him everything that I know... If you want an obnoxious 1980s jingle stuck in your head for the rest of the day, click this link

3 Year Old Pachyderm

Amelia's daycare teacher's are awesome. It seems there is a ritual of making "crowns" for kids on their birthdays. Amelia requested an elephant crown. It turned out pretty great. She is enjoying playing with her many presents today. A stamp kit is making its marks on everyone's hands and any blank scrap of paper she finds.

Party Hat

I think I tested Amelia's patience trying out my birthday present, an old Richoflex TLR film camera. She couldn't understand why it took so long for me to take the photo nor why she couldn't immediately see the picture after I snapped it. After a few moments of this, she told me "Daddy, no more pictures." This was pretty much the only sucessful shot on the roll. No autofocus, slow shutter speeds and fast moving 3 year old don't make for optimal results.

Thanksgiving Presents

Amelia got some early birthday presents from grandpa and grandma on turkey day. She was very excited to add some new food prep tools to her kitchen, a rollerbag, pajamas and a shopping cart... Yep, she is is one spoiled kid.

The Engine

The kiddos had a lot of fun drinking coffee and taking rides around the hotel on the luggage valet.

Emily and Ed's Wedding

This weekend we went to Sanfrancisco to attend Kelly's cousin's wedding. It was Amelia's first flight since she was a little baby. She did pretty well on the airplane. The wedding was great. It took place at a vineyard not too far away from the city. Cousins, Corina and Byron, put on a good show dropping rose petals to get it started. Amelia was a little restless during the ceremony and did not want to keep quiet. But we managed to get through it without having to excuse ourselves. At the reception Amelia and her cousin Corina did a lot of dancing. The next morning they enjoyed riding "the engine" around the hotel hallways and sidewalks (picture coming soon). Good times.
